The Ondo Youth Alliance for Tinubu (OYAT) has reaffirmed its support for the reforms being implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing them as people-oriented policies aimed at improving the living conditions of Nigerians and securing a better future for the masses and future generations.
In a statement signed by its Director-General, Thalis Olonite Apalowo, the group said although some of the reforms initially appeared difficult, they were beginning to produce positive results across different sectors of the nation’s economy.
OYAT noted that there have been noticeable improvements in key economic indicators, including a gradual reduction in inflation, easing food prices, and an increase in foreign direct investments.
Nigeria’s foreign reserves, which had previously been depleted, have now risen to about $40 billion dollars — a significant indicator of economic recovery and renewed investor confidence in the Tinubu administration’s fiscal direction.
OYAT therefore urged Nigerians, particularly young people, to remain patient and supportive of the administration, stressing that the long-term benefits of the reforms would positively impact different sectors of the economy and improve the overall well-being of citizens.
New LG Coordinator Appointed
Meanwhile, the alliance announced the appointment of a new Local Government Coordinator for Akure North Local Government Area as part of efforts to strengthen its grassroots mobilisation structure ahead of future political engagements.
The group said Omojola Femi Michael has been appointed to replace Temiloluwa Oluwalade following an internal restructuring aimed at improving coordination and ensuring more effective engagement with young people at the grassroots level.
OYAT expressed confidence that the new coordinator would bring renewed energy and commitment to the alliance’s objectives of mobilising support for President Tinubu’s policies and promoting youth participation in governance.
